Beth Horowitz

Beth Horowitz is Former President & CEO, Amex Bank of Canada and Amex Canada, Inc.  

Since leaving Amex, she has devoted her time to not-for-profit and corporate board service. Beth has served on the HSBC Bank Canada board since 2009 and was appointed to the board of Canada Jetlines in June, 2021. Prior corporate board service includes Aimia Inc. from 2012 to 2017 and People Corporation, from 2019 until the board-initiated sale to Goldman Sachs Merchant Banking in 2021.   

Beth’s current not-for-profit boards include Director, SheEO; President, TSCC 1435 Condo Corp.; Trustee, Art Gallery of Ontario; Advisor, Women’s Venture Capital Fund; and Director, UNITY Charity.

Sasha Cucuz

Sasha is a co-founder and partner at Greybrook Capital and currently the CEO of Greybrook Securities Inc. where he shares responsibility for the firm’s private equity and real estate investment strategies. Under his leadership and on behalf of investors in over 30 countries, Greybrook’s portfolio has grown to include over 90 residential development projects representing over $20 billion worth of estimated completion value. Sasha is co-chair of Greybrook’s Investment Committee and Project Management Committees that are responsible for new acquisitions and actively managing all existing project partnerships.   

As the former President of Greybrook Health, Sasha also played a key role in several portfolio acquisitions including MacuHealth, Bruder Healthcare and TearLab, as well as the launch of Greenbrook TMS (NASDAQ: GBNH; TSX: GTMS), a leading provider of TMS therapy, an FDA-cleared, non-invasive therapy for the treatment of major depressive disorder. In 2020, he led the launch of Delos Canada, as well as Greybrook’s investment in Delos Living, LLC a global leader in the health and building sciences.

Sue Paish

Frank Geier

Frank is a Special Advisor and the former Chief Operating Officer at Northland Properties. Before joining the team at Northland, Frank gained extensive experience working in the foodservice industry. He was the President of GFS Canada Company Inc. (2002 – 2014), President of Neptune Food Service 1998-2021 and Vice President of Marketing and Sales (1997 – 1998), and Vice President of Marketing (1991-1997).

Frank Geier

Frank is a Special Advisor and the former Chief Operating Officer at Northland Properties. Before joining the team at Northland, Frank gained extensive experience working in the foodservice industry. Paul Hollands

Paul Hollands is the Chairman of the Board of privately held A&W Food Services of Canada Inc. A graduate of the Sauder School of Business, Paul joined A&W Food Services of Canada Inc. in 1981, became Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 1995 and Chief Executive Officer in 2005.  In February 2018, Paul retired as CEO and currently holds the position of Chairman.  Paul is a recipient of the first class of Canada’s national Top 40 Under 40 Leadership Award. He was recognized as B.C. CEO of the Year for 2015.  He is past Chair of the Faculty Advisory Board of the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia, and a Past Chair of Restaurants Canada (formerly the Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association). He is currently a Director of the St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation, a Director of Bakers Delight Holdings Ltd., a Director of OpenRoad Auto Group Ltd., and a Director and Chair of Vendasta Technologies Ltd.  

A&W is Canada’s second largest and fastest growing quick-service hamburger restaurant chain, with over 1000 restaurants from coast to coast.  It also markets the number one Root Beer soft drink in the grocery trade in Canada.  A 100% Canadian owned company, A&W is headquartered in North Vancouver, BC.   

Paul’s most recent project has been the revitalization of the 113 year old Naramata Inn, one of BC’s iconic hospitality institutions. Launched in 2020, the Naramata Inn has won wide acclaim as one of the best new restaurants in Canada.

John Oppenheimer

Columbia Hospitality’s management portfolio has since grown to include hotels, resorts, residential communities, golf courses in 9 states and 43 communities. Over the course of his career, he has founded five successful, private hospitality-related businesses. He was also a founding general partner of Seattle Hotel Group, the investment group that developed the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Seattle and is a partner of Cruise Terminals of America (CTA) operator of Seattle’s two cruise terminals. John serves on a variety of boards including 5th Ave Theatre (co-chair – Governance Committee), Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (Chair of the Foundation Board), Smoke Tree Ranch, and Anthony’s Restaurants. John is a past chair of YPO Gold Northwest and the Woodland Park Zoo, and the Northern Trust Advisory Board. 

John is married to Deanna Oppenheimer and has two adult children.
