Bob is a Canadian entrepreneur and philanthropist from Kamloops, BC., with a long-standing family legacy grounded in community service. He founded Northland Properties in 1963 shortly after receiving his engineering degree from LeTourneau University.
With a vision of building hotels and restaurants where people could come together to experience excellent customer service, he opened the first Sandman in Smithers, B.C., in 1967. With his inspirational leadership, hard work, determination and unwavering belief that people are the foundation to the company’s success, today Northland is recognized as one of the most trusted names in hospitality, construction and property management.
Devoted to his faith, Bob is deeply involved with his local church, enjoys playing tennis or getting outside for a game of golf and spending time with family – being ‘Grandpa’ to 10 beloved grandchildren.

At Northland, he has built a legacy spanning over 4 decades that embodies exemplary leadership, successful business strategies, innovation and guest service. Before joining the team at Northland Properties, Taj worked with Stakis Hotel Group as a Junior Trainee Manager which was quickly followed by a promotion to General Manager and Regional Manager – directly responsible for one-third of the company. He earned his Hotel and Catering Management Degree from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland.
A successful squash player who has won many major tournaments, when Taj is not on the squash courts, he enjoys spending time with his wife Parviz, their children and grandchildren.

After a short hiatus where she held a senior leadership role with Apple Retail Inc, she rejoined Denny's Canada in the position of Vice President of Operations and shortly thereafter moved into her current role as President & COO for our Denny's, Bar One and Lobby the Lounge brands. Deborah also sits on the Operations Brand Advisory council with Denny's US and works with several organizations, such as the Minerva Foundation which invests in developing female leaders.
A certified Divemaster, Deborah enjoys diving and riding her motorcycle across beautiful British Columbia.

Norm was named President of the Kamloops Blazers on July 4, 2022, after a 30-year career as Managing Partner for Grant Thornton LLP (formerly Daley & Company LLP).
His involvement in the local community and experience with events in Kamloops is exceptional. He was co-chair of the 2016 Women’s World Hockey Championships and the volunteer chair of the 2014 Tim Hortons Brier. He most recently led the Kamloops Blazers successful bid for the 2023 Memorial Cup presented by Kia. He has twice won Sports Person of the year awarded by the Kamloops Sports Council.
Norm has also coached Baseball & Hockey. He was fortunate to have had the opportunity to be a director for the Kamloops Blazers Hockey Team, the Kamloops Blazers Sports Society as well as the secretary treasurer for the TRU Foundation. Also, during 2012 he led a successful campaign to complete the construction of the indoor training facility for Kamloops Minor Baseball.
From his involvement in the community, he has been a recipient of the Kaizen Award from Sport BC for Innovative Leadership, Community Service Award from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC, the Pioneer Spirit Award from the Kamloops Mayor and City Council, the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce Businessperson of the Year Award and was elected to Fellow with CPA BC.
He is also recipient of a Doctor of Letters, honoris causa from Thompson Rivers University.

Peter grew up in the hospitality business as his father was also a hotelier. He started his career within his family’s business and moved on to work at several B.C.-based hotels and resorts. Before joining Northland as Opening General Manager for The Sutton Place Hotel Revelstoke, Peter was with Boutique Hotels and Resorts of British Columbia and Fairmont Hotels. He is currently the Chair of Tourism Revelstoke and sits on several strata boards.
Peter is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys playing and coaching soccer when he’s not skiing.

Norm Daley
President
Kamloops Blazers Hockey Club
Norm was named President of the Kamloops Blazers on July 4, 2022, after a 30-year career as Managing Partner for Grant Thornton LLP (formerly Daley & Company LLP).
His involvement in the local community and experience with events in Kamloops is exceptional. He was co-chair of the 2016 Women’s World Hockey Championships and the volunteer chair of the 2014 Tim Hortons Brier. He most recently led the Kamloops Blazers successful bid for the 2023 Memorial Cup presented by Kia. He has twice won Sports Person of the year awarded by the Kamloops Sports Council.
Norm has also coached Baseball & Hockey. He was fortunate to have had the opportunity to be a director for the Kamloops Blazers Hockey Team, the Kamloops Blazers Sports Society as well as the secretary treasurer for the TRU Foundation. Also, during 2012 he led a successful campaign to complete the construction of the indoor training facility for Kamloops Minor Baseball.
From his involvement in the community, he has been a recipient of the Kaizen Award from Sport BC for Innovative Leadership, Community Service Award from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC, the Pioneer Spirit Award from the Kamloops Mayor and City Council, the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce Businessperson of the Year Award and was elected to Fellow with CPA BC.
He is also recipient of a Doctor of Letters, honoris causa from Thompson Rivers University.

Devonna began her career with Northland Properties at the age of 13, working her first job as a dishwasher at Denny’s in Vancouver. She has always been dedicated to her family’s commitment of taking care of people and providing excellent service. With a lifelong passion for design and architecture, Devonna returned to Northland as a Junior Designer Intern in 2004 following her graduation from BCIT’s Interior Design Program and Chelsea College of Art & Design in London, UK. She strives to create the best-designed spaces in the hospitality industry and finds inspiration for her designs through diverse travel and the perfectly balanced pallet found in nature.
Devonna enjoys going to the beach with her kids and painting large scale abstraction in her art studio.
